  1. We’ve visited 3 times in 4 years when we come to watch the RIAT airshow (8.5 hours flying – brilliant ! ). We love the site. Emma and James are always welcoming and friendly, the facilities are great – washing machines, tumble dryers, kettles (handy because I left mine at home), fridges, freezers and microwave – handy for when you’ve had a long day out and can’t be bothered to cook. Everything is very clean and the site is great for all ages as the pitches are only around the edges of their large field, so there is a huge space in the middle for games. The 10 meter square pitches are fantastic. Discounted Longleat tickets are a bonus, decent pub grub within walking distance and many other places to visit nearby.

  2. What a great find! Wish I took picture of showers/toilets. Best seen in any campsite. Facilities were great, site clean and spacious and hosts were fun, informative and friendly. Good shop on site for snacks, eggs etc and other items might run out off and not over priced. Washing up facilities had all you could imagine, washers, fridge, microwave and spare cooking and crockery items. Great to have fire pits and marshmallows watching the stars! Location is great to tour and will recommend and hope to return (especially if we were as lucky with the weather). Emma, remember the mirro!

  3. Stayed 3nights here . Fantastic site, friendly , clean, spacious pitches. Facilities spot on. Will def be going back. Thanx for brilliant stay. See you soon I hope.

  4. We stayed over last weekend and what a fabulous campsite it is!! The facilities are fantastic that include a fully stocked shop for your camping essentials, lovely showers, spotless toilets, fridge freezers, washing up areas and even washing machines. The location of the site is lovely and very peaceful. Also the owners are a lovely friendly couple which cannot do enough to help you out and we shall definitely be returning.
    Many thanks Mark & Lou.

  5. We stayed here for 4 nights from 19th May 2017. The site is great, kids absolutely loved it, great clean facilities, everything you could possibly need, the site is run by a lovely bubbly couple who make you feel at ease from the start, they were happy to help with any queries, and one day we had gone out for the day and our tent came slightly un pegged and was blowing everywhere and they kindly pegged our tent back down for us.
We spent a day at Longleat Zoo, with a great discount from the owners, all in all a fantastic site & location, we are hopefully going to return this year, if not defiantly next year. Thanks guys x

  6. We’ve been for the last 2 years and definitely will be coming again this year. A very relaxed site where the children go find new friends and play all day. All the essentials available on site and a fab idea of having a microwave and kettles available for a quick cuppa in the morning. A very friendly family site

    See you again soon

  7. All 4 of us loved it!

Highlights for the kids: the goats, the trampoline, the playground where everybody under 12 gathers…they made friends within 5 min of arrival!
Highlights for the adults: kids are free in a safe environment, owners so welcoming and helpful, eell equiped and clean facilities: toilet block and kitchen! and if your packing was a bit rushed, you will find what you forgot in the kitchen or the shop!

Thank you pitchperfect, we will definetely be back!

  9. Had a great holiday at pitch perfect camping. Lovely site, loads for the kids to do, nice big pitches and area is so quiet. Showers are nice and hot. Will be going back next year

  10. We’ve just come back from a 2 day stay at this site and couldn’t have been more impressed. The site is spacious and great for kids with a fantastic play area for them including a play park, trampoline and games room. There is a kitchen with all the basics including dishes, fridges, toasters and kettles, a washing machine and tumble dryer. The toilets and showers are spotless and warm and a lot of thought has got into them; including hand wash at every sink. The site itself is picturesque with lots of free range chicken, goats, horses and pigs. I didn’t really need to use the shop so can’t comment on that; however, when I mentioned to Emma that I needed soya milk, she picked me up some from the co-op when she was out. Emma and James were friendly and accommodating and there was always someone around if needed. The allocated pitch sizes are big enough to pitch a large tent, gazebo and car and they’re spread out enough so that you’re not on top of each other. We were really pleased with everything on site and will definitely be going back again! The price is really good too. I’ve paid more for shorter stays on other sites that haven’t been nearly as good. Thank you Emma and James.

  11. You guys have got this so right! If you are looking for family friendly camping, then look no further, seriously Emma, James and grandma and grandad couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful – even lending a gazebo for our group. The facilities are clean and a pleasure to use, the shop well stocked with great reasonable produce, the additional bonus of fridge/freezer, all the extra toys etc for the children in addition to the play equipment and not forgetting the highlight to children and adults alike of the nightly fire pit and marshmallow delivery were such a bonus. Thanks again for a great experience!
Nearly forgot to mention the pleasure the horses Maddy and Honey brought to the children.

  12. We stayed here in May from the 21st til the 24th, and the first day we had the camp site to ourselves! The only thing that let us down the whole trip was the weather, beautiful days but rainy nights! Emma gave us a lovely welcome and walk around, herself and/or James are always available in the reception hut and the shop in there is great, they have thought of everything. I was blown away by the facilities, left our milk and juice in the fridge and used the kettle regularly for some much needed cuppas! We visited Longleat, a great day out and thank you for the discount tickets, Emma also recommended an Indian restaurant in Frome called The Bay Leaf, the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. There’s also a lovely pub The Woolpack Inn in Beckington, nice and quiet and lovely food. Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway, and the best bit was watching everyone set up for the Bank Holiday as we chilled out with a drink and a fire pit! We’ll be back xx

  13. “Probably the best camp site in Somerset”
5 of 5 starsReviewed 2 days ago NEW
Just come back from three wonderful nights at this camp site. Although this is a relatively new site, Emma and James have got it absolutely spot on. Firstly, the site itself is rural but not too far off the beaten track. There is a well stocked shop onsite selling just about everything you could need and at reasonable prices too! The toilets are perfect and some serious money has been spent here. They are cleaned twice a day and are in pristine condition. The showers a hot and powerful and you really do feel refreshed after you’ve had one. Next door is a washing up area, but it has a few extras. There are two fridge freezers, a microwave, kettle, washing machine and tumble dryer. A charge of £3 per load of washing and £1.50 per drying load is very reasonable and far cheaper that a launderette. The pitches themselves are of a good size and are spaced out well with posts marking the edge so you’re certainly not on top of one another (unless you want to be!) In the centre of the park there is a huge open area for ball games and there is a trampoline, swings and a small pirate ship for the kids to play. Barbecues and fire pits are available to hire on site for the traditional camping tradition of sitting around the camp fire. Emma and James cannot do enough for you. They are wonderfully friendly people and nothing is too much trouble for them. The loudest noise we had was not from the kiddies playing but the birds tweeting away merrily and apart from the daft horse in the field next door, the nights were calm and peaceful even though a party was going on at the other end of the field. Same with anything in life, you pay your money and take your choice. I paid £63 for 3 nights (2 adulds, 1 mad dog and electric hook up). Now I know there are cheaper sites out there, but I guarantee that they won’t be a patch on this one!

  14. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality. I took my girls to this site on their first ever camping trip and they had a lovely time. We had problems with our tent and they were kind enough to stay in one of their tents. The rest of the facilities were great as well — the marshmallows were great and they loved the play area. My girls also got on very well with the younger residents of the site, too. Thanks, we’ll definitely be back. :0)

  15. Just came back from one of the best sites we`ve stayed on for awhile, the views were great with lots of things to do and lovely facilities on site aswell. Owners couldn`t do enough to make our stay any more welcome than it was, nothing seemed to much for them to do and were all very friendly and welcoming, so quiet and peaceful perfect spot for finding out about the local area to with bath, Bristol and Longleat just up the road which was a real bonus for us as we wanted to do Longleat while we were there and James and Emma sorted that out for us on site before we went, will be going back as quick as we can arrange it, can highly recommend for anyone to use this site be it a family or a couple looking for a quick break away

  16. Just come back from a few days camping trip and it has been really lovely. Lovely and simple with lovely views and easy assess to quite a lot of places (longleat and bath)

Will definitely be coming back again very soon!! Thank you both so much for making our stay really enjoyable and making us feel really welcome. I am sure your campsite dream will continue as you both do an amazing job for everyone.

    10 out of 10

  17. Well done both for all the hard work you do ! We had a great 5 days. The weather was good especially putting the tent up and back down in the dry weather. A nice campsite, clean and tidy. Good luck in the future and we’ll be back soon.

  18. A lovely campsite run by a lovely family.

Very easy to find. Peaceful location and safe for children – the first campsite we have been to where we have not needed to worry with the kids out of sight.

Showers and toilets spotlessly clean. Well stocked shop and the use of a fridge and freezer – the first time we have come across this and it was SO helpful.

A 10 minute walk to the nearest pub, 10 minute drive to ASDA and 15 minute drive to Longleat.

I cannot recommend this campsite enough. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  19. Emma and James,

Thank you both for making our first camping trip with three kids one to remember. The kids loved playing with the other kids on the play area, which was ideally situated in the middle of all the pitches so we could keep an eye on them while allowing them to experience a bit of freedom.

Site facilities were lovely and clean, and the well stocked camp shop ensured we needed for nothing. We really enjoyed the fire pit and the kids loved roasting the marshmallow’s, thanks again for setting it up so late in the evening.

We will definitely recommend your site to friends and will return next time we go to ,Longleat.

    The Roadhouse’s

  20. Had a very enjoyable 2 nights, made to feel totally welcome and at home, very friendly and a lovely site. Toilets and showers were immaculate, and free use of the freezers and power-sockets to charge phone and iPod was appreciated! Anything you have forgotten can be bought or got hold of, there are a couple of pubs nearby for food and if you want to you can hire a fire pit with logs. The kids loved it – there was a playpark for them which they spent most of their time at – the only thing I’d say is that with 10-plus kids on the trampoline it could get a bit dangerous if parents don’t supervise their children properly (especially those over 11 who are really just a bit too big for the play equipment and make it a bit unsafe for little ones).
If there was a sturdy play area installed, and maybe a second trampoline, this site would be perfect! As it was we would thoroughly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

  21. Absolutely fantastic site, great facilities and SPOTLESS toilets and showers. Very easy to find and great location for getting around to just about anywhere. The owners are lovely and very helpful. The freezer, fridge and microwave is very useful.
I would recommend this site to anyone and if I was in the area I would stay again.

  22. Thank u Emma and james for the warm welcome we all had a great 3 nights its a shame we couldnt stay longer but looking forward to our next visit. Best wishes Rachel carl and family x

  23. Just finished unpacking after 3 nights at this lovely site and were so impressed wanted to leave a review asap! Emma and James are fantastic owners who we found helpful, friendly and have great enthusiasm for the future of the camp site. The children’s play area was suited to our toddler but not possibly not for older (10+) children ( more facilities planned for next season I believe) but dont think thatsa problem right now with Longleat and the Chedder Gorge on the doorstep! plus All ages of children on site seemed fascinated by the free range chickens
The owners were very relaxed but did have a careful word ( nicely phrased but firm enough I’m sure) with some people who stupidly used the track one side of the field as a race track despite children running free-range
I would recommend this site and we will be back again I’m sure ( and hope)

  24. Loved it! Lots of space for my son to run around and play with the owners’ son, Stan. Very peaceful, with lovely sheep and horses in the adjoining fields. The pitches certainly weren’t packed in which made it very relaxing and really quite private, despite sharing a field with other campers. Other than a very helpful Emma and Jim, the other thing which is certainly worth commenting on is the well stocked shop, including croissants for breakfast – yum!
    We’ll be back again!

  25. Just returned from a very welcoming stay at this campsite. I appreciate that its in its early days and is heading in the right direction, the staff/owners were very helpful and friendly. A very child friendly site with clean facilities. The site is suited to youngsters better as the ‘teens’ soon got bored. P.S thankyou for allowing the use of the field for the RC Nitro car we brought with us..

  26. Just returned from a wonderful one night stay before a Longleat visit. Emma and James were so welcoming, it was like we were old friends visiting for the night. Nothing was too much of a problem for them (and we came along with quite a bundle), all solved with a smile.
the kids adored the playground and I loved that we could camp right in front of it. The marshmallow fire pits were brilliant. A memorable stay.

  27. We were first time campers and had an absolute great time at pitchperfect camping. The camsite is great with ample clean toilets, shower block and also a family changing area with shower, toilets and changing mat and baby bath. There is also a shop onsite and also fridges for storing your food and drink. My 8 year old had a ball playing with other kids on the play area and also looking at the chickens, horses and cows. As for Emma and James, a nicer couple you could not meet. Very friendly and helpful. The firepits with mashmallows are a great idea. We went to Longleat safari park and took the discount offer that pitchperfect camping have and saved quiet a bit of money. Would absolutely recommend pitchperfect camping to everyone. We had a great time!!!

Emma and James, thank you very much for you warm friendly welcome and a great stay. Wishing you every sucess for the future.

Love Jane, Alex, Ben and Sam from sunny Irvine,Ayshire!! xx

  28. Fantastic campsite. I would highly recommend pitchperfect. We had a very warm & welcoming arrival. Clean toliets & showers, great idea for a family shower/toliet block with baby bath. Amazing fire pits with marshmallow to cook. A great park for children. Nice flat, spacious site with a camp shop.
We had an amazing weekend & are already planning to come back. The owners were lovely friendly people, who went out their way to help us. You could not ask for nicer owners.

  29. Absolutely fantastic! We will definately be coming back! Emma and James are lovely and their campsite is relaxed and fun.. Best weekend ever. Thank you so much!

  30. We stayed for 1 night on a Satruday last week and we had the most amazing time. The site was easy to find, and when we arrived Emma, and I did not get the guy’s name were absoutely lovely and so welcoming. The pitch was a nice decent size and the toilets and shower facilities were totes amaze for a camping site. We are already booked to come back. I would recommed this to anyone. There is a Burgar King just before you get to the site which is handy if you want some snacks before you set about putting up your tent.

  31. First time campers and couldn’t have asked for a better site! Location, facilities, value for money, pitch size, children’s play area, fridge/ freezer to use, warm and friendly hospitality all plus points, however If you were to ask my daughter her thoughts her favourite thing would be the marshmallows and fire pit . So simple yet so satisfying for all ages 🙂

Thank you for making our first camping trip an enjoyable one, would thoroughly recommend.

  32. A wonderful little campsite. A brand new site, open just 3 weeks I believe. Family run, and very friendly. Well allocated plots, with electric hook up available. Modern portaloo style toilet & shower blocks, and a ‘family unit’ – a larger portaloo with baby changing facilities, and shower with detachable head to fill up the provided baby bath, we found this very useful. Washing up facilities, with detergent and sponge provided which was handy. The wooden cabin, doubles as reception and the camp shop. Well stocked with dry goods, and camping essentials, as well as eggs laid by their roaming chickens. ice Lollies, choccy bars, crisps, cold drinks and a nice selection of local tipples for the grown ups. The offer of some space in the camp fridge was very welcome, and kept our perishables and a couple of tins of beer cool for us. A lovely touch was the fire-pits, and marshmallows, which made for a really authentic camping experience. Our son had a lovely time chasing their chickens, petting the horses over the fence, playing on the swing & slide, and on the trampoline. PLUS your only minutes from Longleat safari park, a hefty discount on the usual ticket price was arranged for us on arrival at the site. We hope to be back again in the future and will highly recommend the site to family and friends.

  33. We had a fantastic stay!
Owners couldn’t do any more for us!
All the facilities you need for a perfect weekends camping!

We will be coming back several times!!

Highlight – horses an chickens!! The horses come to say hello!

    Suz & Nick!
